EdaFace Prize is an annual award given to any person who has proven, outstanding, creative, innovative work in the techno-digitization of one or more of the Seven Pillars of African society.

 It is a bold step towards Africa’s techno-digital renaissance.

The Face of the Digital Age

EDA is the acronym for Emerging Digital Age. 

EdaFace literally means “the Face of EDA.” That is, the Face of the Emerging Digital Age.

EdaFace Prize Winners are the physical expression of the Face of the Emerging Digital Age.

Three Criteria for EDA Prize Award

The work that merits the EdaFace Prize must meet the following three criteria:

(i) creative or innovative

(ii). recognized to be reputable and outstanding in its field

(iii). proven to have a techno-digitization impact on one or more of the seven Pillars of African society.

The Features of EdaFace Prize

EdaFace Prize has the following features:

(1). An award plaque with inscribed winning terms is presented as a trophy to the winner by the EdaFace Prize Organizers.

(2).EdaFace Prize carries a financial value.

Each winner of the EdaFace Prize receives a specific financial payment that is set by the EdaFace Prize Organizers.

The financial worth of the EdaFace Prize is such that it stimulates creative and innovative works across the African continent, as individuals will seek to win the prestigious prize.

(3). EdaFace Prize award is paid out in Eda Coin.

(4). An official letter by EdaFace Prize Organizers accompanies each EdaFace Prize award. The letter covers the following contents:

- Congratulatory message for winning the coveted EdaFace Prize

- Brief explanation of what the EdaFace Prize stands for.

(5). A limited number of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) of the Prize award are minted by the EdaFace Prize Organizers and sold out to commemorate the event.

The winner receives 30% of the proceeds from the NFT sale.

The Seven Pillars of African Society can easily be remembered by the mnemonic: RAT CHEF:

• Religion = R

• Agriculture = A

• Transport = T

• Communication = C

• Health = H

• Education = E

• Finance = F

The Finance industry refers to economics and commerce.

The Entertainment industry is part of Communication.
