Minting Format for Video NFT

Posted on 2025-09-26 Updated on 2025-10-06

Welcome to EdaFace Mint System.

You can mint your NFTs on the EdaFace NFT Marketplace (NMP). There are seven ways to mint on the EdaFace NFT Marketplace. You can read more about them here: SEVEN MINTING VARIETIES.

To successfully create and mint a Video NFT on the EdaFace NFT Marketplace, you must format your files correctly before uploading them for minting. Follow the pattern presented here to successfully mint your Video NFT.

Two Sets of Files

To create and mint a Video NFT, you may need two sets of files:

(a). Video File
This is the Video file you want to convert to an NFT.
Supported Video file formats are: AAC, MP4, OGV, and WEBM.

(b). Thumb File
Your Video NFT needs a background cover just like a book needs a cover.
The background cover is known as a Thumb File.
A Thumb File is simply an image, just like a book cover.

The acceptable formats for a Thumb File are: JPG, JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WEBP.
Note:

If you don't provide a Thumb File for your Video minting, EdaFace Minting System may provide one for you or reject the minting process. Therefore, it is advisable to provide a Thumb File for your Video NFT.

Three Ways to Mint Video NFTs

There are three ways you can mint a Video NFT on EdaFace NFT Marketplace:

(a). Single Video Minting
This allows you to mint only one copy of a Video NFT.
This means that you need to upload one Video File and one Thumb File.

(b). UniMultiple Video Minting
This allows you to mint two or more copies (a maximum of 100 000 copies) of one Video NFT at a time.
This means that you need to upload one Video File and one Thumb File.

Thus, from one Video File, you can produce upto 100 000 copies.
All the copies will have the same background appearance because they are from one Thumb File.

(c). PolyMultiple Video Minting
This is where you can mint multiple copies of two or more different Video NFTs at a time.
Therefore, this minting format allows you to produce different varieties of Video NFTs all at once.

The maximum number of different Video NFT varieties you can produce at one time is 100 000. To produce this maximum number, you will need to upload 100 000 Video Files.

Number of NFT Copies Per Minting

You can mint multiple NFT copies of each Video File you upload.
The maximum number of NFT copies you can produce from each Video File at a time is 100 000.

Therefore, if you choose to upload the maximum number of 100 000 Video Files, you can produce 100 000 NFT copies from each of these files.

Meaning, a maximum total of 10 000 000 000 NFT copies (that is, 100 000 x 100 000) can be produced at one time.

Video-Thumb File Pairs

Note the following important points while preparing your Video and Thumb Files for minting:

(a). Same Number of Video and Thumb Files.
The number of Thumb Files you upload for minting must be equal to the number of Video Files for minting.
For example, if you want to produce 7 different Video NFTs at one time, you will need to upload:
7 different Video Files
7 Thumb Files.

Note that if you do not want each of these 7 different Video NFTs to have the same background appearance, then all 7 Thumb Files should have different appearances.

(b). Similar Names for Video Files and Thumb Files.
The name of a Thumb File must be the same as the name of its Video File.

This is because EdaFace Minting System pairs each Video File to a Thumb File. Therefore, if the name of the Video File is different from its Thumb File, such a pairing will not occur.

See an example in Table 1. There are seven different NFTs that Eddie wants to mint. As such, he has produced seven different Video Files, which he has named:
videotest1                    videotest2                    videotest3                    videotest4
videotest5                    videotest6                    videotest7

Table 1: Seven Video Files for minting

Eddie wanted each of his seven NFTs to have a different background cover. As such, he has customized seven different images in JPG format as the Thumb Files for his NFTs.

Note that Eddie's Thumb Files are seven in number, just like the number of his Video Files.
Also, note that the name of each Thumb File corresponds to the name of an Video File. See Table 2.

Table 2: Seven Thumb Files; each name corresponds to each Video File in Table 1.

Important Details

Note the following important details:

(i). The total maximum file size is fifty megabytes (50 mb). That is, the collective size of all Video Files and Thumb Files you want to upload may not be more than 50 mb for each minting.

(ii). The name of a file is case-sensitive. Make sure that the way you name a Video File is exactly the same way you name its corresponding Thumb File.

(iii). For your easy access and reference, you may keep all the files in folders as shown in Tables 1 and 2 above. One folder can be for the Video Files, while a second folder can be for the Thumb Files.

(iv). The way you arrange the files in a folder does affect the pairing process of Video-Thumb Files.
