Home EdaFace Component 6: Blockchain Literature BCL Production Article
EdaFace Minting Platforms – NFT Marketplace (NMP) and Blockchain Literature (BCL) – allow you to whitelist wallets while minting your NFT.
Whitelisting is the process of pre-approving specific people to acquire your NFTs for some specific reasons, such as:
(1). Rewarding Early Supporters.
(2). Drive mass awareness and organic virality
(3). Stimulate Liquidity and Secondary Market Activity, etc.
This means EdaFace Whitelisting is an effective marketing tool that you can use to run an Initial NFT Offering (INO), which is much similar to an Initial Coin Offering (ICO), and NFT Airdrops.
You can study more about INO and NFT Airdrops from the book, “How to Make Money from NFT Book 3 – NFT Marketing,” published by EdaFace Academy.
To whitelist your NFTs, here are the practical steps to take:
As the NFT creator, you can ask the eligible participants for your airdrops to send their wallet addresses to you.
If you haven’t done so, register and obtain an account with EdaFace by clicking on the EdaFace homepage (https://edaface.com) or any EdaFace platform, such as the NMP platform (https://nft.edaface.com) or the BCL platform (https://literature.edaface.com).
Registration of the EdaFace Account is free and requires only your username, email, and a secure password.
See How to Set Up an EdaFace Account.
After registering, sign into your account using your login details.
In your EdaFace Account, click on your Profile, and scroll downwards to “Add Whitelist User.”
Click on the plus sign (+) next to “Add Whitelist User.”
Now, copy the wallet you want to whitelist for your NFT and paste it in the specified area. Enter one wallet per time.
To limit exorbitant gas fees and contract-call failure, whitelist a maximum of 15 to 20 wallets for each NFT minting.
You can now go to the minting page of the NMP or BCL by clicking on “Create” button. Select the minting format that you want for your minting.
Upload the Digital Product that you want to mint as an NFT.
You can now fill in the Product Data as directed on-screen in the minting page.
As the NFT creator, you will need to whitelist the participant wallets for your airdrop while preparing for minting the NFT.
To whitelist the participant wallets for the airdrop, click on "Whitelist Users" in the minting page, and select the added wallets of Step 3 above. Finally, enter the quantity of NFT copies you want to airdrop to the wallet.
Do this for each of the wallets you are whitelisting for the airdrop.
Remember that to limit exorbitant gas fees and contract-call failure, whitelist a maximum of 15 to 20 wallets for each NFT minting.
After whitelisting all the participant wallets, you can then go ahead and mint the required NFT copies.
The exact number of the NFT copies that you have indicated will be airdropped automatically into each of the whitelisted wallets.
Congrats on whitelisting and airdropping your NFTs.
